The over-50-year US economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba was the focus of condemnation and debates on Monday in Ukraine and Belarus.
Members of the Solidarity-with-Cuba movement in Ukraine gathered in front of the Cuban embassy in that country to expressed their strongest rejection of the US unilateral measure against the island.
According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry´s website, the activists also rejected the State terrorism policy undertaken by several US administrations against the Cuban people, which has killed or mutilated thousands of citizens in the Caribbean nation.
The US blockade of Cuba was also the focus of debates by students at the International Relations Institute of Belarus, who considered the damage inflicted by the US measure on the Cuban people.
The forum, called by the Foreign Relations Institute and the Cuban embassy in Belarus, was attended by tens of students who were interested in analyzing the US anti-Cuba policy and its consequences, since it violates international law. The students also considered the Cuban efforts aimed at facing media manipulation and permanent US aggression.
