Cuba''s Construction Minister, Rene Mesa is in talks with Vietnamese Transport Minister, Truong Quang Nghia regarding infrastructure development in both countries.
Mesa, who is on the first day of his visit, discussed the prospect of improving the road system on the island, a goal of the 7th Congress of the Cuban Communist Party.
Mesa is hoping that the two countries can strengthen ties in this area and that Cuba can learn from the experience of other countries including Vietnam.
Mesa also discussed the possibility of the two countries working together in several Vietnamese construction projects, mainly the Ho Chi Minh road, and promised the help of Cuban engineers.
The Vietnamese minister stated that his government has prioritized investment in the country's infrastructure, especially in roads.
