Vietnam and Cuba signed a memorandum in this capital today to prepare an agenda, aimed at raising bilateral cooperative relations for mutual benefit.
Vietnamese Minister of Construction Trinh Dinh Dug, and Cuban ambassador to Viet Nam, Fredesman Turro, signed the document, a legal framework to expand the contents of the 31st session of the Intergovernmental Commission, to be held in the capital in September.
Dinh Dug stated that the memorandum marks a new process in boosting mutual cooperation ties in economy, especially trade and investment, education, science, and technology.
Meanwhile, Turro described as model the relations between Vietnam and Cuba, called to reach the same level in the economic and political field, when there are still some potentials to exploit, using the advantages of every nation.
In his words, the minister and the ambassador agreed to stress the determination of the highest leaders of their governments, to strengthen ties and deepen cooperation in all possible areas.
On the occasion of the signing, Dinh Dung gave the ambassador, who is about to finish his mission, a commemorative medal for his contribution to the development of the construction sector in Vietnam, where Cuba continues providing such assistance.
