On September 21 and September 22, the young lawyer Fidel Castro, after being charged as the defendant, assumes his self-defense and interrogates his comrades, who denounce the tortures and crimes. Fidel goes from defendant to unbeatable accusing attorney. He also interrogated the defendants of Lawsuit 37 of the Emergency Court. He appears on the stand wearing the lawyer’s gown.
On the occasion of the first anniversary of the signing of agreements between Venezuela and Cuba for the implementation of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of Our Americas (ALBA) and the incorporation of Bolivia.
He decorates Juan Miguel Gonzalez, father of Elian Gonzalez, with the "Carlos Manuel de Cespedes" National Order of Merit, one of the highest decorations awarded by the Republic of Cuba, created in honor of president and liberator Carlos Manuel de Cespedes. This reward is given for services rendered to the country to nationals or foreign persons in the exercise of diplomatic or consular duties, special missions, international conferences and congresses and distinguished services to Cuba and humanity.
