The Cuban Health Vice Minister Marcia Cobas, declared today that a study carried out by the Mission Manuela Espejo on disabled people is unique in the world, owing to the geographic conditions in Ecuador.
The Ecuadorian vice Presidency of that sector informed today for that motive "there have no money to pay that the Ecuadorean and Cuban members of the brigade are doing", expressed Cobas in New Loja, Sucumbíos province, during a visit to the direction of the solidarity Mission Manuela Espejo, accompanied by the secretary general of the Vice Presidency Homero Arellano.
Cobas also supported, the doctors of her country have been no taken the job of other people, because Ecuador can't do this research on disabled people. He also explained Cuba took 50 years on develop subjects like genetic.
Likewise, the Cuban Vice Minister expressed his country "is compromising that it has in the scientific area and it doesn't give what he left .The research we are making here, was also made in Cuba, Venezuela and the next October 4 it will begin in Nicaragua".
The joint effort of the Ecuadorian and Cuban doctors to research causes of disabilities will allow establishing the background of a real public politic that favour those Ecuadorians, said Arellano.
This scientific medical work is no political, it is a job of social interest, pointed out, and announced the first stage of Manela Espejo Mission will finish next December in 13 Ecuadorian provinces, with a cost of $ 5 million.
Arellano also emphasized the logistical support of the Armed Forces, the Health Minister and others, as well as the impulse that the Republic's President and the Vice President have been given to the program.
