Cuba and Vietnam Academicians Talk on Civil Society

Cuban academicians expressed today their country´s experiences on the role of the civil society organizations in the socialist development, which was shared with those of Vietnam in a conversation with experts from here.
The director of the Exchange and Reference Center of Community Initiatives (Cleric ), Rigoberto Fabelo , and the director of the magazine Temas (Themes), Rafael Hernandez, presented huge papers of the participants interest.
Sponsored by the German Foundation Rosa Luxemburg, in its chapter of the Southeast Asia, runs by Nadja Charaby, had introductory speeches of the rector of Hanoi University, Nguyen Van Lhanh and Cuban ambassador in this capital, Heminio Lopez.
Fabelo drew a path of social organizations since the triumph of the Cuban revolution and its contribution to the socio-economic development, as well as the adjustments and enlargement in the new scenario of the so-called special period until now.
In addition, Hérnandez focused on the importance of publications of critical thinking for public debate, the naturalization of the discrepancy and political consensus with the participation of the masses in a plural and socialist society directed by the Communist Party.
Recognized Vietnamese researchers of the Institute of Social Sciences gave their contribution to the meeting as well as the National Academy of Politics and Administration, Ho Chi Minh, the Sociology Institute and the Scientific Council.
