Cuba Denounces US’s Radio and TV Aggression
Cuba denounced on Wednesday at the United Nations the increase and use of new methods by the United States in its policy of radio and television aggressions against the Caribbean nation.

Cuba denounced on Wednesday at the United Nations the increase and use of new methods by the United States in its policy of radio and television aggressions against the Caribbean nation.
The Cuban ambassador before the UN, Rodrigo Malmierca, condemned the aggressions that violate International Law and the laws and regulations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Speaking at the 4th UN Commission on Matters Related to Information, the Cuban diplomat recalled that, every week, 1 920 hours of subversive programming are broadcast from the United States to Cuba using 32 different radio and television frequencies.
Malmierca stressed that the US Government owns three of the 27 stations that broadcast to Cuba using, since 2003, a C-130 military aircraft with a range of 200 kilometers. The Cuban diplomat noted that a single broadcast using this aircraft costs the US taxpayers nearly $150,000.
According to Prensa Latina news agency, Malmierca demanded the creation of a new world order in the field of information and telecommunications that ends with the current manipulation of history, legitimization of discrimination and outrage against freedom of expression and information
