Beijing Launches Chinese Edition of Moncada''s Trial
The Chinese edition of the Moncada''s Trial, an extensive report of Cuban journalist Marta Rojas, about the events occurred in Santiago de Cuba since more than 60 years ago, was launched today in this capital.

The Chinese edition of the Moncada''s Trial, an extensive report of Cuban journalist Marta Rojas, about the events occurred in Santiago de Cuba since more than 60 years ago, was launched today in this capital.
The author and the translator of this book, academician Xu Sicheng, led, along with the ambassador Alberto Blanco, the ceremony celebrated in this capital, with the participation of representatives of the editorial houses responsible for the publication of the volume.
Xu, who studied in Cuba in 1960, talked about that he had acquired in Havana the brochure where Marta Rojas collected the history of the Assault on the Moncada's Barrack on July 26, 1953 and the judicial process to which were subjected the young people participating in that revolutionary action led by Fidel Castro.
The professor kept that publication fondly of his years of student and after meeting Marta Rojas last year in China asked her to autograph it. Since that moment emerged the idea of translating and publishing it into Chinese language, he added.
With his anecdotes and experiences in Cuba and his contacts with this country and other Latin Americans from which he has translated many works and written many articles, Xu affirmed that The Moncada's Trial is a compulsory reading for those interested in knowing the beginning of the Cuban Revolution and the success of its project.
The opening words were expressed by the ambassador who appreciated the publication of the volume and said its presentation was a luxury along to the author and its famous translator, an old friend of Cuba.
