The 18th National Cuba Solidarity Meeting will be held in Chile from Friday to Sunday, with its opening at the emblematic Plaza de Armas in this capital.
The call issued by the Chilean Cuba Solidarity Movement emphasized the determination of the Cuban Revolution to build a path of absolute independence and self-determination.
With the participation of representatives from different political and social organizations, the forum will be a space for denouncing the policy of blockade and war declared by the United States for over half a century against the Cuban people.
"We are now facing a new campaign to destabilize and destroy the homeland of Marti and Fidel and which is supported by the most conservative and reactionary sectors in Europe and on our continent, too," emphasized the Chilean solidarity groups.
The three-day event will be also dedicated to the cause of the Cuban Five, the antiterrorists unjustly imprisoned in the United States for the last 12 years.
