Cuban Parliament against US Intervention in Honduras
The Cuban Parliament today called on all parliamentarians in the Americas and around the world to urge Washington to stop its intervention in Honduras, cut its military support to coup perpetrators and withdraw its task force from that Central American nation.

The Cuban Parliament today called on all parliamentarians in the Americas and around the world to urge Washington to stop its intervention in Honduras, cut its military support to coup perpetrators and withdraw its task force from that Central American nation.
With the attendance of President Raul Castro the Cuban deputies agreed to condemn any maneuvers aimed at extending the suffering of the Honduran people, manipulating their rights and legitimizing the actions by the de facto government.
The Parliament also demanded the unconditional return to power in Honduras of constitutional and legitimate President Manuel Zelaya Rosales; the top Cuban legislative body also requested that while constitutional order is not reestablished in that country, international parliamentary organizations should withdraw from Honduras´ National Congress and that all relations with legislators linked to the coup should be suspended.
The deputies expressed their solidarity with the Honduran people, who are heroically resisting brutal repression these days since they are aware that if the coup perpetrators remain unpunished no other country will be able to live in peace and enjoy democratic rights.
The Third Ordinary Session of the Cuban Parliament's 7th Legislature recognized the rights of the Honduran people, as those of any other nation, to resistance actions against tyranny and to self-determination and sovereignty, the document reads.
