Cuba''s National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) will hold the tenth ordinary session of its Seventh Legislature on December 13.
Parliament President Ricardo Alarcon convened the meeting today, to be run at Havana's Conference Center.
The parliamentary agenda includes discussion of many topics including the economic ones, mainly the implementation of the guidelines adopted by the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party relating to updating the Caribbean country's socio-economic model.
According to the press, before the December 13's plenary session, the 12 standing committees will be on session on December 10-11, while the following day will be dedicated to reporting of ministers and other authorities.
The current legislature is comprised of about 600 legislators from different sectors of Cuban society: farmers, professionals, workers, soldiers, intellectuals, youth, among others.
