The Cuban economic model updating and its expression in the different sectors of society are the main issues to discuss during the second day of work of Parliament´s standing committees.
Food safety, current situation of the public service sector, and progress of the economy will be also discuss in the Havana´s Convention Center from the guidelines adopted at the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party on April 2011, to drive on the island changes that seek greater efficiency and productivity.
From presentations by leaders, experts and deputies, the committees of the National Assembly will continue the prior activities to the Ninth Regular Period of its Seventh Legislature, which was convened on Monday.
On Friday, several committees worked on ruling new acts, in particular the new tax law.
Before this, the meeting of over 600 deputies attended the deliberations of the Council of Ministers headed by President Raul Castro.
