Cuban President Satisfied With Meetings With Chinese Authorities
Cuba's President Raul Castro, expressed on Friday satisfaction with talks held with Chinese officials during his official visit to this country, where he was greeted by Deputy Prime Minister Li Keqiang.

Cuba's President Raul Castro, expressed on Friday satisfaction with talks held with Chinese officials during his official visit to this country, where he was greeted by Deputy Prime Minister Li Keqiang.
We have had several meetings and we are fully satisfied with every meeting, the Cuban leader told Li during the dialogue held here in the Great Palace of the People.
The head of state for the Caribbean country also referred to the talks with President Hu Jintao and President of the National People Assembly of this nation, Wu Bangguo, both held on Thursday, and the meeting with Prime Minister Wen Jiabao, today.
In regard to the latter, its host called the visit extremely important to consolidate the consensus among "our Parties and governments and friendship between our peoples."
Shortly before, President Raul Castro laid a wreath at the Monument to People's Heroes in Tiananmen Square, a tribute that was accompanied by Assistant Foreign Minister Zhang Kunsheng.
The Cuban president's official program ended with a meeting with Vice President of this nation, Xi Jinping, who was in Cuba in June last year.
A common theme to all these talks has been the development of bilateral ties, including the strengthening of cooperation, judging by the dialogue and words of welcome spoken on each occasion.
In that regard, cooperation documents were signed on Thursday at a ceremony witnessed by the respective leaders to conclude the official talks, in which President Raul Castro noted that these relationships have come of age.
One of the agreements concerns economic and technical cooperation on a donation to Cuba and another, an interest free loan. Letters were also exchanged on financial issues as well as digital television equipment.
Further steps in the collaboration include a loan by the China Development Bank to the National Bank of Cuba for the rehabilitation and modernization of medical facilities as well as activities between the two countries' Customs agencies, and Ministries of Agriculture.
