The assistant manager of the Trinidad and Tobago Trade Facilitation Office in Havana, Jude Carasquero told Prensa Latina that is very significant that a Spanish speaking country like Cuba shows interest in the development of the Caribbean people.
Referring to the recently concluded Caricom-Cuba Summit in this capital, Carasquero stressed that this is a step forward that not only aims to relations with Havana, but with Latin America.
We must seize the opportunity not only on the political issue, but on trade relations. The need to further strengthen the links between all countries of the region, must be stressed, he added.
For now, we have to keep informing on the economic, social and cultural realities of the Caribbean, thus there will not be doubts on who we are, the official said.
