An update on the most recent events in magic realism and remakes in audiovisual media is the center of attention at the 3rd day of the Cuban Radio and Television Festival, 2013.

The topic will be addressed by Mauro Alencar, an adviser for TV o Globo in Brazil, in his lecture "Magic Realism and Remakes: An Issue of Global Interest."

Remakes are audiovisual productions that reliably reproduce a previous work's plot, characters, atmosphere, and practically every detail.

Another presentation scheduled for the event is that by the Colombian researcher Omar Rincón, on public radio and television in Latin America.

Rincón, who is also a professor at the University of Los Andes, will deliver a workshop on television formats.

The expo-fair's program includes sponsorship conferences and commercial presentations by production companies, TV channels and radio stations.

The festival comes to an end next Friday with an award ceremony for the contests Sonido para ver (radio) and Cubavisión 2013 (television).
