The president of the Provincial Assembly stated that Raul Castro has been in the momentous episodes since the attack on the Moncada Garrison on July 26, 1953, the Granma Yatch expedition, and the guerrilla warfare in the mountain ranges, with the foundation of the Frank Pais Second Eastern Front as one of his major works.
He stressed his nearly 49 years leading the Revolutionary Armed Forces as a minister, and his contribution to the defense of the country, with a fierce loyalty and remarkable results in his performance.
The decision of the delegates to the maximum provincial governing body was revealed during the third session of the 12th period of mandates, in which issues related to production centers and the recovery following the havoc caused by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012 were analyzed.
