The Cuba-Venezuela Choreographic Meeting is scheduled to conclude in Caracas on December 12 with the presentation of several Works, according to the Cultural Ministry website.
Since October 28, Venezuelan dancers and Cuban specialists in contemporary dance have been working on a joint project to develop this art form.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture through the National Dance Company Foundation, is expected to contribute to consolidate the Creation and Innovation Development Centers of the National Dance Center by 2011.
Final performances will be on Dec 10-12, involving choreographies mounted by Cuban artists that will be premiered with the talent of Venezuelan dancers at the Caracas-based Beracasa Hall of Teresa Carreno Theater.
The event, under the Cuba-Venezuela Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement, is part of efforts made by both governments to promote intercultural dialogue between the peoples.
