Cuba and Mexico study ways to improve their relations, said Bernardo de la Garza, director of Mexico's Sports and Athletics Natl. Commission (Conade).

After talks with Christian Jimenez, president of Cuba's Sports Institute (INDER), and Oscar Acosta Hernandez, president of Cubadeportes, among other officials, de la Garza called "to expand our agenda for baseball exchange and collaboration through visits of Mexican champion team to the Island, as well as coaches and trainers and vice versa.

The Mexican official noted that his country has plenty to learn from Cuban mass sports of and detection of talented people, and announced the work of Cuban wrestling, judo and boxing experts and their wishes to host high-altitude training camps, and expand sports medicine ties.

De la Garza, wrapped this weekend his visit to Cuba -which he termed short but fruitful- and auspicious to multiply bilateral sports agreements, reminding that Mexico will mark the 20th anniversary of the first such accords with an exchange with a Cuban delegation to visit his country for an exhibition event to which they are inviting high-yield athletes like Dayron Robles.
