Cuban Vice President Esteban Lazo traveled to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to attend the inauguration of President-Elect Danilo Medina on August 15-16. Lazo is leading the Cuban delegation to the events, also composed by Deputy Foreign Minister Dagoberto Rodriguez, Granma newspaper reported in its front page.
