President Jose Eduardo dos Santos received today a congratulatory new year message sent by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
After receiving the message, delivered by Counselor of the Embassy of Cuba in Angola, Juan Socorro Maceda, the Angolan leader appreciated the gesture and asked him to convey his best wishes for a long life to Fidel Castro.
Angola and Cuba maintain longstanding friendly relations, cemented by their common struggle for the former's independence and the cooperation in sectors like education, health and construction, among others.
