Two young Cuban writers chosen by the Wolsan publishing house, Laura Domingo and Katherine Bisquet, will launch today two notebooks of poetry at the 24th International Book Fair, running in this capital.
The Ruben Martinez Villena hall at the National Association of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC) will be stage for Bisquet with "Algo aqui se descompone" (Something Here Is Decomposed) and Domingo with "Invocaciones y otros limites" (Invocations and other limits), a book that according to the author deals with the pain of loss, resignation and even renunciation.
The work collects about five-year experiences, written in short poems in which I was interested to reflect certain state of mind through photos, the writer exclusively told Prensa Latina.
I'm not very descriptive, but I try to also express in poems a reflexive search about my environment and determined circumstances I've been through, the also choreographer and teacher of the National Ballet School said.
The creation in literature and dance emerged in this young woman as an incontrollable need of expression, even six years ago she named her first choreographic work with a title that invoked the modernist literary movement led by Ruben Dario, "Azul" (Blue).
Among the motivations of the work, she highlighted the need to give conclusion to those universes that were opened, invocations, throughout the pages of the notebook, the reason that this starts and ends with the shorter poems of just one verse.
After participating in the International Poetry Festival in Granada, Nicaragua, Domingo will return to Havana to continue writing the pages of her first novel and launch two new choreographies in the coming International Meeting of Ballet Academies, underway in this capital.
