Cuban Culture Minister Abel Prieto is attending the World Forum for Intercultural Dialogue in this capital until Saturday, diplomatic sources said.
Since arriving on Wednesday, Prieto has met with sculptor Kamil Veliyev, a member of the Union of Painters of Azerbaijan who in 1983 helped create the monument in Cuba to Vladimir Illich Lenin, in the Havana park that bears his name.
He also visited the Museum of Miniature books where he was presented with a mini-book devoted to the 85th birthday of Cuban leader Fidel Castro.
The World Forum of Intercultural Dialogue is an initiative of the Azerbaijani government, with support from the UN Science, Education and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the UN Alliance of Civilizations and the European Council.
President Ilham Aliyev is to inaugurate this forum, a gathering of international organizations, legislators, diplomats and culture minister from more than 20 countries.
