Over 200 delegates from 20 nations will attend the 6th Asia-Pacific Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba scheduled for March 22 to 25 in Phnom Penh, Camboya.
The ambassador of that country in Havana, Hay Sonnarin, said that it is a privilege for her country to be the venue of that meeting, in which a delegation of the World Council for Peace will take part.
The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) quoted the diplomat as saying that it will be an excellent opportunity for the two countries to strengthen even more their relations, and develop regional and international solidarity actions with Cuba.
Sonnarin said that the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in Camboya has accomplished its goals, and she put as an example the campaign for the release of the five Cuban antiterrorist fighters serving long sentences in the United States.
Fernando Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Gerardo Hernandez and Rene Gonzalez, were condemned for providing information of sabotage plans against Cuba by terrorist groups based in the US territory.
