A scientific seminar about Cuban Vidatox-30CH was officially opened today in Laos, the first country in Asia that registers this medicine for clinical use.
Addressing the participants, Cuba ambassador to this country, Waldo Reyes, highlighted the development achieved by the Caribbean island, the international cooperation provided in the health sector, and the historic relations with Laos.
Dr. Carmen Morales, a specialist in clinical trials at the Labiofam Business Group, presented the whole process of creation, and the characteristics of the formula, of proven worth in improving the lives of patients with cancer.
The interest in Vidatox-30CH here attracted to the presentation officials from Lao Ministry of Health, representatives of hospitals and clinics in many provinces, companies and medical and pharmaceutical marketers, who posed questions to the speaker.
During the seminar, Dr. Somthavy Changvisomid, general director of the drug department of the agency, in charge of records to import the medicine, participated on behalf of the host country.
Labiofam representative for Asia, Gustavo Junco, and Tua Hai Nguyen, head of the Vietnamese company AMV, marketer of pharmaceutical products, also attended the seminar.
