The 35th International Festival of New Latin American Cinema begins today its final stage with the secondary awarding of institutions, media and specialized magazines.
The first works of movie directors " La distancia más larga" (The longest distance) from Venezuela and "Sin otoño sin primavera" (Without Autumn without Spring), from Ecuador, will be screened today, as well as full-length film "Tercera llamada" (Third call) from Mexico.
Cuban cartoon "Fernanda y el extraño caso del Doctor X y míster Jaí" (Fernanda and the strange case of Doctor X and mister Jai), which deals with a detective-girl that is fond of mysteries and investigates them along with her friends, will also be screened.
The documentary "Serrat y Sabina: el símbolo y el cuate" (Serrat and Sabina: the symbol and the buddy) by Spanish director Francesc Relea will be present again in movie theaters.
The award ceremony of 35th International Festival of New Latin American Cinema will take place tomorrow, where the most important awards of the festival, the Corales awards, will be given to some of the 150 works vying for them in the categories of full-length, first works and medium-length films, as well as 30 documentaries, 31 cartoons and 25 unproduced scripts.
