Mexico-Cuba Inter-Parliamentary Commission to 12th Round
The southern state of Merida hosts the 12th Bilateral Cuba-Mexico Inter-parliamentary Commission which will review economic, political, environmental, migratory and cultural relations among other matters of mutual interest.

The southern state of Merida hosts the 12th Bilateral Cuba-Mexico Inter-parliamentary Commission which will review economic, political, environmental, migratory and cultural relations among other matters of mutual interest.
Mexico's mission is led by House Secretary, Rep. Jorge Carlos Ramirez Marin, while Cuba's delegation is head by Parliament Chairman Ricardo Alarcon.
Alarcon said earlier in Havana that relations between both countries "are fine", although "we can hope to further brace them. We hope that Mexico, as our closest neighbor keep having, as before, an active role in the Cuban market."
Representative Ramirez Marin called necessary restoring the historic ties, friendship and cooperation between Mexico and Cuba.
Senator Cleominio Zoreda said that after the opening at 09:00 am (local time) at the Hyatt Regency Merida Hotel, takes off the table "Relations between the Parliaments of Mexico and Cuba, actions to promote solidarity and cooperation."
The other topics on the agenda are "Climate change and disasters in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico," "Cuba-Mexico Economic Realignment," "Peaceful settlement of regional conflicts" and "Mexico-Cuba regional cooperation in Culture, education health care, civil protection, tourism and emigration."
