Chinese Traditional Painting Exhibition in Cuba

The Chinese Traditional Painting exhibition is opened at the Fine Arts Museum in this capital, with a selection of 13 pieces dating from the 16th and 19th century. 

According to Cuban curator Teresa Toranzo, the exhibition, the first of that Asian country carried out by the cultural institution since the 70' s, includes works that belong to the Chinese cultural thesaurus.

The expert said that the paintings, to be exhibited until January 2013, show the Chinese artist skill in the use of different materials and techniques.

The exhibition was organized in five samples, including empire life, portrait of ancestors, landscape, birds and flowers, and religious portraits.
