Under the title La Victoria de la Libertad (Freedom's Victory), the book La Contraofensiva Estratégica (The Strategic Counteroffensive), by the leader of the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castro, will come to light this month in France.
The book, published by the Publishing House Michel Lafon, is a journey through the victorious course of the rebel army from the Sierra Maestra to its entrance in Santiago de Cuba.
Silvie Arhab, member of Michel Lafon, said to Prensa Latina that the title will be available in the country next October 11.
A press statement from the publishing house remarks that "we are in presence of an exceptional book, where the leader of the Cuban revolution shares his memories, his feelings and tactical decisions to achieve victory".
In its pages the reader is submerged in the center of the important events of those days of intense and decisive fighting that led to the victory of freedom, states the document.
Last January Michel Lafon published 25 000 pieces of the work La Victoria Estratégica (The Strategic Victory) under the title Los Caminos de la Victoria (The Paths of Victory).
Created 30 years ago, the publishing house has became one of the most important entities of its kind in France, editing 150 titles every year, distributed in Canada, Belgium and Switzerland.
Michel Lafon has also published a collection of school books for students in Africa, with the help of UNESCO.
