The governments of Cuba and Finland today signed a declaration in this capital to resume bilateral cooperation.
The document was signed at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Pertti Torstila and Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra.
The signing of this declaration is a step forward in the ties between the two countries and shows the interest of the parties to increase their links.
Helsinki and Havana established diplomatic relations on April 5, 1929.
Finland is the sixth largest country in Europe and has borders with Sweden to the west, east to Russia, north to Norway and to the west and south is surrounded by the Baltic Sea that separates it from Estonia and Sweden.
