Cubans in Ecuador Mark CDR Anniversary
Cubans living and cooperating in social projects in Ecuador, as well as representatives of groups of solidarity with Cuba in this South American nation today gathered at the Cuban embassy to celebrate the 53rd anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR).

Cubans living and cooperating in social projects in Ecuador, as well as representatives of groups of solidarity with Cuba in this South American nation today gathered at the Cuban embassy to celebrate the 53rd anniversary of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR).
The meeting participants marked the date, and recalled the historical conditions in which the society was organized in CDRs in 1960.
The people attending the meeting were updated about the development of the 8th CDR Congress, which concludes today after three days of intensive discussions, focused on social problems and work of that people organization.
The CDR was founded on September 28, 1960 by initiative of Fidel Castro.
