The head of the Cuban missions in Venezuela, Victor Gaute, stated that during 2017 the effectiveness of the unconditional collaboration of Cuba with the people and government of the Venezuela will be consolidated.
We will continue alongside the country of Simón Bolívar and Hugo Chavez in these difficult moments, supporting them with our talent, effort and example, declared the official during the political-cultural event for the 58th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, to be held on January 1st.
During the commemoration, dedicated to evoking the historical legacy of Fidel Castro (1926-2016), Gaute summarized the main achievements in the areas of health, education, culture and sports, among others in which hundreds of Cuban collaborators are working.
He also pointed out the importance of the meeting of the 17th Joint Intergovernmental Commission, held on December 22 in this capital, on which Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro confirmed that Venezuela will continue to support the government and people of Cuba, also unconditionally.
Under the agreements signed then, our commitment grows every day because we work for the social and cultural well-being of a nation with programs that are an example for all just causes in Latin America and the world, he said.
