Cuba is finalizing details to guarantee the success of the popular referendum on the new Family Code, to be held on September 25, Granma reported.
Electoral authorities are being trained in each territory of the country, after taking office at the end of July in the different circumscription commissions, which will allow them to comply with the provisions of the law.
These commissions identified citizens of recognized values in the community to integrate the electoral tables.
Priority is also given to the completion of the electoral structures at all levels, as well as the members of the auxiliary groups that will work in the processing of information, supervisors and collaborators.
Likewise, the different polling stations were identified, as well as the communication routes and means of transportation that will support the process.
During these days, the lists of voters are published in public places in order for them to verify their inclusion in the electoral roll.
The National Electoral Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are working on the organization and assurance of the voting process abroad, in order to guarantee the participation of the personnel working in diplomatic offices and collaborators.
The final version of the Family Code is already published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cuba No. 87 of August 17, 2022.
