The Ninth quarterly meeting on cooperation between Cuba and Venezuela continues today in this capital, as part of the strategies carried out by the two nations to expand joint projects.
According to Venezuelan diplomatic sources, the talks will determine which programs should be concluded and those suitable for improvement.
Deputy Minister for Economic Cooperation and technical secretary of the agreement by Venezuela, Ramon Gordils, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and technical secretary by Cuba, Roberto Lopez, are participating in the meeting, to be concluded tomorrow.
Cuba's ambassador accredited in Caracas, Rogelio Polanco, and the head of the Cuban social missions in Venezuela, Victor Guate, are also on the list.
According Gordils, improvements in area of health, education and quality of life of the Venezuelan population are tangible, thanks to the Cuban cooperation.
On the other hand, Lopez recalled that October 2015 will mark the 15th anniversary of the beginning of the agreements between the two countries, led by the late President Hugo Chavez and the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.
About 62 cooperation projects, an amount corresponding to the annual average, will be developed during 2015, he said.
