Chavez: Unity is Needed to Assure a Victory on November 23
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez emphasised the need of unity in the coming elections at a rally and caravan this Sunday, an effort to shore up support for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) candidates for November 23 regional elections, reported Granma newspaper.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez emphasised the need of unity in the coming elections at a rally and caravan this Sunday, an effort to shore up support for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) candidates for November 23 regional elections, reported Granma newspaper.
“In these times we need unity, unity, unity to assure victory on November 23, which will not only decide the outcome of regional elections but also the future of the Bolivarian Revolution,” said Chavez.
More than 60,000 people accompanied the Venezuelan leader Sunday afternoon in a caravan and rally with the PSUV candidates for the governor of the state of Sucre, mayors’ offices and the legislative council of Sucre, considered one of the key states for the revolutionary process underway in Venezuela.
“They want to organize a base of operations here to try to overthrow the government in 2009. We need a governor and mayors who work together with the national government to resolve problems in health care, dinkable water, energy and housing.”, Chavez told the crowd and assured them they were the reason for their struggle, for the better up of the Venezuelan people.
In the morning, Chavez visited several building projects in Sucre, including the first phase of the Northeaster Gas System, the Petrocasas prefab housing factory and a new thermoelectric plant.
