Cubans will pay nationwide posthumous tribute tomorrow to Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, as a deep expression of their affection for the South American leader and people, and their grief over his death.
The tribute will begin at 08:00 local time and will last until 20:00 local time in all Cuban provinces, Granma newspaper reported.
After the announcement of Chavez' death yesterday, the Cuban government, which declared an official and national state of mourning, expressed sadness for his passing and confirmed its unconditional support for the Bolivarian Revolution.
Early today, the Cuban people remained shocked and grieving over the passing of Chavez, who is credited for his courage in battling his aggressive disease, for the political legacy based on social justice that he left his people and his immense love for Latin America.
