Reflections by Fidel Castro on Environment to Be Launched in France

The book "El derecho de la humanidad a existir" (Humanity''s Right to Exist), a compilation of reflections on the environment by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, will be launched this week in France during a solidarity meeting.
The text will reach readers thanks to the France Cuba partnership and the Bruno Leprince publisher.
"The protection of nature and natural resources, as a model for sustainable development, is a longstanding and strong concern of Fidel Castro in many of his speeches, and more recently in reflections published in the Cuban press as of 2007," the publisher says.
This book will be launched on Saturday, March 23, at a meeting in the town of Bagnolet, adjacent to Paris, with the participation of representatives from all organizations in solidarity with Cuba, Noslen Ocaña, Third Secretary of the Embassy in France, told Prensa Latina.
Elio Gamez, Vice President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, will attend the event.
According to the meeting's agenda, the documentary "Fidel Castro, caudal de rio," by Mundo Latino, will be screened. It recalls the participation of the leader of the Cuban Revolution at the 1992 World Summit on the Environment.
The book will also be launched in the city of Bordeaux during the Left Party Congress, intellectual Hernando Calvo Ospina said.
