Cuban economists and accountants provide support and advice to the development of local, small and medium enterprises and the new cooperatives, Danilo Guzman, president of the Organizing Committee of the 7th Congress of the ANEC, stated.
Few hours before the event began today at the Conference Center in Havana, Guzman told Prensa Latina that the non-agricultural cooperatives will benefit the country with more efficiency and effectiveness in the performance and quality of services.
Economists and accountants are advising that process and we train the 126 cooperatives chosen to begin the experiment in the provinces of Artemisa, Mayabeque, and Havana, he said.
Most of them, about one hundred, will work in the Ministry of Domestic Trade, and the rest in sectors such as industry and construction, with a different way of action.
The president of the organizing committee of the 7th Congress of the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC) stated that the work of the organization has to do with the implementation of all economic and social guidelines.
The event will run until June 14, and includes discussions of the most important aspects of updating the Cuban economic model.
Some of the topics to be discussed are: industrial development, domestic consumption, production chains, foreign collaboration, local development strategy, and contractual relationships in the process of business management.
