Cuba Awards Medal of Friendship to Spaniard for His Solidarity

Antonio Carricarte, Cuban First Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, awarded Juan Arenas of Spain the Medal of Friendship, granted by the Cuban Council of State, on Friday.
The decoration is recognition of Arenas history of solidarity and friendship with Cuba and its Revolution, according to a resolution presented at the 19th Session of the Cuba-Spain Business Cooperation Committee.
The resolution also highlighted the work of Juan Arenas over several decades to strenghten and defend economic relations between Cuba and Spain.
He has collaborated with Cuba's Chamber of Commerce for more than 15 years, contributing with his intelligence, creativeness, initiatives and experience.
Arenas said he was grateful for the recognition and said he had learned a lot in Cuba during his many years of hard work.
"With my work, I have just tried to respond to what I have received from this great country," he concluded.
