A delegation of Cuban business people and officials are visiting Nicaragua to promote trade exchange between both countries, it was reported in this capital today.
The group, led by Cuban Deputy Industry Minister Eloy Alvarez, and made up of representatives of sphere such as the production of industrial pieces, agricultural machinery, footwear, hygiene, and cleanliness, arrived in Managua yesterday night.
Meetings with Nicaraguan business people and government authorities are expected, as part of the agenda.
According to Alvarez, the objective of the visit is to pave the way for the complementariness and the industrial development of both nations.
On the other hand, Nicaraguan Deputy Development, Industry and Trade Minister, Jesus Bermudez, stated that this is the first Cuban delegation arriving in this Central American country in the framework of a bilateral agreement signed in 2014, as part of initiatives developed by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America.
"We expect that the trade exchange between the two countries grow, as of the trade agreement we have negotiated," he said.
