The Cuban sports delegation, made up of 32 athletes, has garnered the fourth best position among the countries of the
Americas participating at the games. Cuba also occupies the 15th position among all 148 countries at the event.
China, Champ at Athens 2004, expects to ratify its leading position as it heads the games with 33 gold medals.
