A tribute to the recently deceased historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, marked the 5th Meeting of Cuban Residents in Guyana, a diplomatic reported source today.
The president of the organization, Liliana Tejeda, highlighted the role of the Commander in Chief played in the achieving dignity for the people of the Caribbean island.
Among the priorities for the organization is the intention to achieve greater activism in social networks and maintain support for the struggle of the people of Cuba for the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.
The participants in the meeting reaffirmed their commitment to the Homeland that gave birth to them.
The Cuban ambassador in Georgetown, Julio César González Marchante, thanked those present for the fruitful exchange, the activism developed during the year and wished them all successes in 2017.
