The Committee of Solidarity with Cuba in India celebrated today the 92nd anniversary of the birth of the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, in an act that highlighted the role of his thought to resist the offensive of the right.
In an interview with Prensa Latina, academic Sonya Surabhi Gupta stated that the right-wing offensive in India at the moment is focused on a hate speech.
'The hatred towards the other, which can be the untouchable, or it can be towards the other that is the Muslim, or simply the woman', said the professor of the Central University Jamia Millia Islamia.
And in this scenario where there is a hate speech against the other I believe that 'Fidel's legacy is the humanism that represents the Cuban Revolution,' said Gupta, director of the Center for European and Latin American Studies.
