Cuban Development Fund announced to reactivate Economy
Cuba´s state budget for 2013 will include a Development Fund for 532 million pesos (same amount in US dollars) to reactivate the productive and service sectors, informed Thursday the Minister of Finance and Prices, Lina Pedraza.

Cuba´s state budget for 2013 will include a Development Fund for 532 million pesos (same amount in US dollars) to reactivate the productive and service sectors, informed Thursday the Minister of Finance and Prices, Lina Pedraza.
She explained the initiative is designed to support government decisions on the promotion of development in the mentioned areas, sensitive to nacional economy.
As for the nation�s reserves, the State Budget 2013 will destine 700 million pesos, of which 300 million are to be allocated to disaster relief, explained Pedraza when speaking before the plenary of the 10th Ordinary Session of the Seventh Legislature of the Cuban parliament.
She highlighted that for other financial operations an allocation of one billion 303 million pesos, including banking interests, credit amortization and other budget debts.
The budget also includes a fund to use as a trusteeship, to finance initial work capital and other goods that may be determined to be sold to non-agricultural cooperatives which cannot obtain bank credits, affirmed the minister.
The Cuban parliament approved this Thursday the Plan of the Economy and the 2013 Budget Law which foresees a growth rate of 3.7 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
