Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung affirmed his country's willingness to work hard along with Cuba in a more practical way for mutual benefit, after receiving today the Island's ambassador here, Herminio Lopez.

Dung appreciated Cuba's valuable support during the Vietnam struggle for its national liberation, as well as in its current development, media groups reported.

He urged the newly accredited diplomatic head to continue promoting the ties between agencies and ministries from both countries in an effective implementation of reached agreements, and the acceleration of new cooperation programs.

Dung placed particular emphasis on economy, trade, and investment, as well as potentialities in education, pharmacy, science and technology, to which he added the wish that telecommunications and agriculture companies also contribute to Cuba.
