Putin Congratulates Cuban President on Revolution Anniversary
Russian President Vladimir Putin today congratulated his Cuban counterpart Raul Castro on the 55th anniversary of the Revolution Victory and the National Liberation Day, according to a letter released by the Kremlin press.

Russian President Vladimir Putin today congratulated his Cuban counterpart Raul Castro on the 55th anniversary of the Revolution Victory and the National Liberation Day, according to a letter released by the Kremlin press.
In his also New Year wishes letter, Putin highlighted the progress and prospects in carrying joint projects in the energy, economic-finnancial, scientific-technical, cultural and humanitarian sectors.
The Russian president also expressed his country's interest in building a constructive society with mutual efforts.
Putin also sent Christmas and New Year wishes to many other heads of State, Government, and leaders of international organizations, including the United Nations.
The leader chiefly highlighted the sucesses reached during 2013 in the Russia-Belarus relations and in the regional integration joint projects, in the format of Unified State and the Customs Union.
In the letter to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Putin recalled late President Hugo Chavez, who he called a great friend, whose work and legacy have been continued by Maduro.
He said Russia and Venezuela reached important deals, and sucessfully interacted in the international arena.
Putin also sent a congratulations letter to Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, praising bilateral links in all key directions, and expressed confidence in an active dynamics of intergovernment links in 2014.
Similar letters were sent to the heads of governments and presidents of Abjasia, Germany, Azerbaijan, Armenia, China, Kazakhstan, Moldova, United States, India, Italy, Israel, France, Japan, South Korea, South, Kirghizstan, Serbia. among others.
