A mass demonstration at Garibaldi Square in Nice will mark the end of the People´s Forum, convened by social organizations of Europe rejecting the G-20 Summit, which also ends on Friday.
Thousands of demonstrators from Spain, Belgium, Great Britain, Japan, Mexico, France and other countries took part in the meeting, which stated to be against unemployment, social cuts and other measures implemented by governments to solve the debt crisis.
Members of unions, political leaders, ecologists and human rights champions participated in mobilizations protesting the G-20 Summit in Nice this week.
The G-20 Summit will end on Friday in Cannes marked by the Greek crisis, the low growth expectation for industrialized countries and the total absence of agreements on issues of world interest.
On Friday, Heads of State and Government will resume their agenda, marked by gloomy outlook with regards to the short-term growth possibilities.
The time spent in dealing with the financial crisis and the European debt hindered to study in-depth world interest issues such as the aid for the development of poor countries, the implementation of a more just and equitable trade and the restructuring of the world´s financial system.
Conceived to prove the supposed strength of the European Union and its currency, the Summit will end showing the great systemic contradictions and the existing north-south different conceptions of development.
