Cuban Delegation on Working Visit to Baku

Prospects for cooperation in the area of communication were discussed on Tuesday by the Cuban vice minister of foreign trade and investment, Oscar Perez-Oliva Fraga with Azerbaijani officials, diplomatic sources said on Wednesday.
Perez-Oliva and his delegation met on Tuesday with Communications and Information Technology Minister Ali Abbasov.
Potential cooperation in communications would be discussed during an upcoming visit by Abbasov to Cuba, on the invitation of his Cuban counterpart, Ramiro Valdés Menéndez.
Perez-Oliva also held talks with Mahmud Mammad-Quliev, vice foreign minister of economic cooperation and development, on the future of bilateral political and economic ties.
During that meeting, Pérez-Oliva formally presented the Azerbaijani official with Cuba's report on the UN General Assembly resolution 64/6, "On the Necessity of Ending the Economic, Commerical, and Financial Blockade Imposed by the United States against Cuba."
The Cuban vice minister explained the resolution and said he was sure that Azerbaijan would vote for it, as it has in past years, in late October.
