The National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC) announced the celebration of its seventh Congress from June 13 to 15, 2013.
The call is for more than 79,000 members of ANEC to meet next year, and coincides with date when Ernesto Che Guevara was appointed minister president of the Cuban National Bank, in 1959.
According to a note by the ANEC National Executive Council and published by Granma daily, the members must be included in the preparatory program of the event, at a time when the country is updating its economic model.
The task that occupies our members is to help implement the Guidelines for the Economic and Social Policy, adopted at the sixth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba in April, said the document.
Cuba tries to build a more efficient and complete socialism. Under these premises we call upon the economists, accountants and auditors to consider the theoretical basis of our model, to be able to cope with the world situation.
