The Cuban official underscored that the topic of the Cuban Five had an important space in the only public session of the two-day meeting, eported Prensa Latina news agency.
At the end of the meeting, both parties issued a Joint Statement in which they condemned the unfair sentences given in the United States to ernando Gonzalez, René Gonzalez, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Gerardo Hernandez, internationally known as the Cuban Five, incarcerated n US jails.
This meeting was characterized by an open dialogue, useful for both parties, “which are indeed one,” highlighted Alarcon, who had been eceived yesterday at the Mexican Chancery.
