Cuba Hosts Int'l Meetings on Law and Architecture
Attorneys, administrators, historians, architects and engineers from Mexico, Colombia, Spain, Venezuela, and Cuba are participating in the 2nd International Meeting on Constitutional Law, starting today and continuing through Nov. 30 in this central-eastern city.

Attorneys, administrators, historians, architects and engineers from Mexico, Colombia, Spain, Venezuela, and Cuba are participating in the 2nd International Meeting on Constitutional Law, starting today and continuing through Nov. 30 in this central-eastern city.
Parallel to this event is the 5th National Conference of Administrative Law, the 6th Colloquium on Constitutional History, and the 1st Colloquium for the Architecture of the City, Carlos Villabella, president of the organizing committee, told Prensa Latina.
These forums are being held in the context of activities for the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the former village of Santa Maria del Puerto del Príncipe, known today as Camagüey, 570 kilometers east of Havana.
Eduardo Torres Cuevas, Director of the National Library and President of the Academy of History, will give a lecture related to constitutionalism, republicanism, secular society, and the evolution of the Cuban constitutional processes.
During these events, experts from a variety of disciplines will discuss more than 40 papers on issues such as constitutional law, constitutional history, municipal law, administrative law, urban law, and colonial architecture.
The nearly 160 Latin American delegates will also discuss local administration as well as administrative reform in Cuba, including problems associated with regulation, design, and control in the construction and rehabilitation of historical sites.
